Acceptable file formats

Vector artwork is preferred:

1. Coreldraw X3 or newer: (.cdr)
2. Adobe Illustrator CS3 or newer (.ai)
3. Freehand (.fh)
4. Adobe PDF (.pdf)
5. JPEG Format usually above 300dpi (600dpi for branding) (.jpeg)

Artwork terms

1. Only artwork in PC format accepted. (No Mac formats)
2. If artwork is received in the correct format we will do our utmost to generate layouts within the time-frame stipulated.
3. If artwork is not received in the correct format layouts may take up to 24 hours to redraw.

Tips to help you prepare your artwork

1. All fonts must be converted to curves to avoid font substitutions.
2. Include font and size if typesetting is requested.
3. Artwork for multi-colour imprints should be sent as a colour separated file (exceptions: digital printing)
4. Unacceptable formats: Word files, .gif, .jpeg (under 300dpi), Power Point.
5. Upon written approval of layouts please confirm with us that we have received your signoff.
6. Artletic Brand Engineering cannot take responsibility for non-delivery of orders if layout approval is not received.

Artwork Fees

1. Artwork received in the correct format will not be charged for.
2. Artwork not received in correct format will attract a design and redrawing fee of R480 per hour.
3. This fee will accommodate the first changes to the layouts, thereafter, any additional changes will be charged for.
4. Branding cancelled after layouts have been generated will be charged for at a minimum of R240.00.

General Branding Terms and conditions:

1. Branding will only commence once full payment for stock and branding has been received and artwork has been approved.
2. If cheques are deposited into our bank account branding will only commence once payment has cleared.
3. Unfortunately faxes etc. can and do sometimes go missing. Please confirm that proof of payment has been received. Artletic Brand Engineering cannot take responsibility for missed deadlines if payment has not been confirmed with us.
4. Delivery dates are quoted from the day after artwork approval and receipt of payment - whichever is later.
5. Amendments made to proofs will result in delay to delivery date. Should you require changes, we will issue a new layout for final proofing before production commences. Changes to layouts can take up to 4 hours to generate.

Timeframe Examples

Example 1: Artwork sent in correct format.
Monday	Artwork sent by 2pm.
Tuesday	Layout sent to client for approval by 1pm.
	Client sends approved layout back and confirms that proof of payment has been received by Artletic Brand Engineering.
Wednesday	Day 1 of production.
Friday	Day 3 of production.
Following Friday	Final product delivered or collected by client.

Turn-around time: 10 Working days

Example 2: Artwork not sent in correct format, redrawing of logo required.
Monday	Artwork sent after 2pm.
Tuesday	Our Artwork department requests additional information such as font names or redraws the artwork completely.
Wednesday	Layout sent to client for approval by 1pm.
Thursday	Client sends approved layout back and confirms that proof of payment has been received by Artletic Brand Engineering.
Friday	Day 1 of production.
Following Friday	Day 6 of production.
Following Wednesday	Final product delivered or collected by client.

Turn-around time: 12 Working days
